How to run Office 2013 alongside an earlier version of Office

Summary

Click-to-Run is a new installation technology that lets you install Microsoft Office 2013 alongside existing versions of Microsoft Office. Previously, when you upgraded Office, the program files from the earlier version of Office were removed, and your settings were transferred to the newer version of Office. However, Click-to-Run installs Office 2013 alongside your existing version of Office. This behavior lets you run two versions of Office on your computer.

This article provides guidance on the supportability of these Office configurations when Click-to-Run is used to install Office 2013.
