VersaPad and the IntelliPoint software use some of the same features, features that may conflict with each other.

Microsoft IntelliPoint software may not function correctly if a different pointing device program is installed.

When an external PS/2 mouse is attached, the touchpad can be disabled. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click Sony Folder.
- Click Sony Utilities, and then click
Sony Notebook Setup.
- Click the Touchpad tab.
- Click the Disable Touchpad button.
Note You must use a PS/2 mouse to disable the touchpad. If you use a serial port mouse the touchpad does not disable.
