Configuring registry policy processing causes MUP to ignore Group Policy setting in Windows

Symptoms

If registry policy processing Group Policy setting is set to Enabled and the Process even if the Group Policy objects have not changed option is selected, there is a reliability issue in Multiple UNC Provider (MUP). This issue occurs in Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2), or Windows Server 2008 SP2.

Hotfix information
