- The user is moved from the dedicated forest to a Unified Messaging (UM)–enabled mailbox.
- The user wasn't moved to the service recently but resides on the service for a period of time. In this situation, they continue to receive "Welcome to UM" messages.
In any other situation where a user receives this message, escalate the incident to Microsoft Support. This is part of a known issue in which mailboxes that experience load balancing moves may receive the "Welcome to UM" message again. When you escalate, make sure that you include the following information:
- The move history for the mailbox. To do this, run the following cmdlet:
Get-MailboxStatistics <mailbox> -IncludeMoveHistory | fl *move*
- Message tracking that shows the message being delivered to the mailbox. You can do this either from remote PowerShell or EAC.
