If you’re using an app and want to draw on it with the pen, try the annotate button (it’s in the app's title bar).
The whiteboard will open automatically, side by side with the app. Select the part of the screen you want to draw on, or select Clip All to capture the whole screen.
Your clip will open in the whiteboard. Draw on it as much as you want. When you're done, email the whiteboard file to yourself. Select the Email button at the bottom of the whiteboard screen. To learn how to send a whiteboard file, see More info on how to send whiteboard files.
When you’re done with your session, the Surface Hub will be cleaned up for the next person—your files won’t be available anymore and you won't be able to recover them. That's why it's so important to email the whiteboard files to yourself.
