Error message when you try to use the Access 2010 “Collect and Update Data Via E-mail” Data Collection feature: "You must have Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 or later on this computer to enable this feature"
You have a computer on which Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and Microsoft Access 2010 are installed. In Access 2010, when you right-click a table in the navigation pane, and you select Collect and Update Data via E-mail, you receive the following message:
You must have Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 or later on this computer to enable this feature.
You cannot use a version of Microsoft Outlook that differs from the version of Microsoft Access to collect data as part of the Access Data Collection feature.
Microsoft is aware of this problem in Access 2010.
To use the Access Data Collection feature in Access 2010, install Microsoft Outlook 2010.
In Outlook 2007, when you try to enable the Microsoft Access Outlook Add-in for Data Collection and Publishing for Access 2010, nothing happens when you click to enable the add-in. The add-in is not displayed in the list of enabled Outlook add-ins.
