Some shapes have special abilities and behaviors. For example, you can make a door shape open from different sides, or swing the door shape open or closed.
Find special abilities for a shape
- Right-click the shape.
- Look at the commands in the shortcut menu.
Special abilities are listed as commands near the top of the shortcut menu. Also, check the ribbon to see if a new tab appears while the shape is selected. If so, the tab has commands related to the shape or the diagram type.
Try special shape behaviors
Some shapes have a yellow control handle
. Drag the control handle to see how it affects the shape. For example, the control handle on the door shape swings the door open and closed.
