Symptom
Upon completing a major Windows upgrade (for example, the Windows 10 Creators Update or the May or October 2020 (20H1 and 20H2) updates), devices are not working, or not working optimally.
Cause
A known issue with Windows Update is causing some device drivers that have been recently updated (say, within a day or two) of the major upgrade not to migrate to the updated system.
Workaround
Running Windows Update again after the major update should locate and reinstall the missing device drivers. (We recommend doing this anyhow following a major update to ensure no further updates are necessary at that point.) For more, see Update Windows 10.

Microsoft is aware of the problem and will address the issue in a future update of Windows.
