Symptoms
This error occurs when generating a report to the FRx Report Server. Run-time error '-2147217887 (80040e21)'
Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value.
NOTE: This is a box that pops up on the FRx Report Server Machine.
Cause
The regional settings short date format is causing the error. The short date format has been formatted to include the day of the week. This is not supported by Microsoft FRx.
Example:
yyyy/MM/dd ddd 2007 Jun 05, Tue
Resolution
Take out the additional ddd's from the short date format.
Click Start button,
Click Control Panel,
Click Regional and Language Options,
Select the Regional Options tab,
Under the Standards and Formats section
Click on the Customize button,
Select the Date tab,
Under the Short Date section
Click into the Short Date Format field and change the format
from: yyyy/MM/dd ddd
to: yyyy/MM/dd
