Symptoms
You have a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008. When you install an application on this computer, some font files that are marked as system- protected cannot be updated. Additionally, when you try to manually delete or update the font files, the operation fails.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in an update for Windows Vista and for Windows Server 2008. This update is intended to remove the protection of some font files that are not required for the Windows user interface.
