Add a field to include exempt entries on the VAT Settlement report in the Italian version of Dynamics NAV

Overview

This regulatory update provides an update to functionality that enables VAT exempt entries to be included in the VAT Settlement communications report that can be sent to the Italian Tax Authority (Datifattura requirement for Spesometro communication).

Setup and functionality

A new field "Include in VAT Comm. Rep.” has been added to the VAT Posting Setup.
The value in this field can be set if the VAT % is zero for all VAT Calculation Types in the VAT Posting Setup except "Sales Tax". If a value is set then such VAT Exemption Entries will be considered by report "Periodic VAT Payment Communication" to calculate nodes “TotaleOperazioniPassive” and “TotaleOperazioniAttive”.

VAT Posting Setup with "VAT Calculation Type" = "Full VAT" will not be handled when “VAT Base” for such entries is zero.

With no checkmark in the checkbox "Include in VAT Comm. Rep." the report considers VAT Entries with type = Settlement. In the communications file TotaleOperazioniAttive and TotaleOperazioniPassive contains amounts from the Base field of VAT Entry. Checking this new field adds a sales (TotaleOperazioniAttive) and purchase (TotaleOperazioniPassive) VAT Entry to the calculation.
