Symptoms
Assume that you run
Microsoft ADO.NET provider for DB2 to connect to IBM DB2 for z/OS through IBM DB2 Connect Gateway. In this scenario, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

Message: The request for the host resource failed. SQLSTATE=HY000 SQLCODE=-357
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for Host Integration Server:
