Improvement
In Microsoft Host Integration Server 2016, the Transaction Integrator Windows Initiated Processing (WIP) fully supports Sync Level 0 and Sync Level 2. This update includes limited support for Sync Level 1 to enable a WIP client application to successfully make a call to a mainframe program that requires Sync Level 1. This support does not handle initiating or receiving any rollback, or commit fully transactional commands. This support only sets the call to Sync Level 1, so the mainframe program does not reject the call.

The functionality can be enabled by the following two options:

Enable useSyncLevel1="true" in the app.config file for a specific WIP client application.

Set SyncLevel for the entire server through the following SyncLevelOverride registry entry:
