Symptoms

When you create a Power BI report that executes a Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) query against Microsoft SQL Server 2014, 2016 and 2017 Analysis Services in Multidimensional mode (SSAS MD), you may notice that SSAS memory usage surpasses the configured HardMemoryLimit, and finally exhausts all the memory available.

The DAX query cannot be canceled, even at early stages.
