Sharing and permissions

The files you store on a SharePoint site are usually available to everyone who has permissions to that site, but you may want to share specific files or folders with people who don't otherwise have access to the site. To begin, choose a file in document library and then select  The Share button.

When you share a file, you can decide whether to let people edit it or just view it.
