Add a meeting timer in Microsoft Teams Free
Keep your meetings organized and on schedule by using the built‑in timer found in Microsoft Teams Free meeting settings.Â
Add a timerÂ

Meeting timer is only available for desktop and web.

You can't create a timer that is longer than 99 minutes.

During a Teams Free meeting, any meeting participant can open the More
 menu. -
Select Timer
from the menu. -
In the Timer
​​​​​​​ window, select a time and then select Start .-
The time countdown begins, and the timer is visible to all meeting participants with presenter capabilities.

The timer also changes colors as the timer gets closer to zero.

Once the timer has started, you can:

Reset the timer by selecting Reset timer
. -
Pause the timer by selecting Pause timer
. -
Under the Timer controls
, choose Edit to update the time. Select Start to resume your timer. -
Under the Timer controls
, stop the timer by selecting Cancel timer. -
Under the Timer controls
​​​​​​​, you can add time to your timer.

When the time reaches zero, the timer plays a sound and turns red, alerting the participants that time has ended.

The timer continues to countdown time while showing the participants how much time has lapsed since time ran out.

To end the timer, select Cancel timer.
