FAQ

This feature works for Share links and address bar URLs copied from the browser URL bar when in the Stream web application. However, to ensure the right permissions are propagated to appropriate recipients, we encourage you to use share links instead of address bar URLs.

Who has access to view the video depends on the permissions set while creating the share link in Stream. If the link used is not a sharing link, then only the author will have access to the video. To ensure your intended audience has access to the video you are sharing, use the permissions dialog in Stream to make adjustments.

If you wish to restrict who has access to view the video, you can adjust permissions by going to Stream and adjusting permissions, or if the video file is saved in your OneDrive for Business, go to OneDrive and adjust permissions there

In Outlook, you can control who has access to the video by right or left clicking the link in the header of the video.Access

By default, a video link in an email message automatically unfurls into an embedded video player. Email creators can manually control how a video link appears in an email message by following these steps:

  1. In the email message, select the video filename link to open a context menu.

  2. In the context menu, select Link styles, and then select one of the following display options:

Embedded (unfurls the video link into an embedded video player)Link (only displays a link) Alternatively, the email creator can utilize the on-paste context menu to change from embedded video player to link and vice versa. The email creator can also choose a default display option.Image for Embedded Player
