Manage your notifications in Microsoft Teams Free

Customize your app notifications

1. Tap your profile picture, then tap Settings .

2. Tap Notifications , where you can:

   Note: If you are missing any notification options, they may be disabled on your device. Learn more about troubleshooting notifications in Microsoft Teams Free.

   • Adjust the General activity notifications.

   • Adjust the Meetings notifications and event reminders.

   • Select Other to get notified when a Contact joins Teams. 

   • Disable or enable receiving Emails  for Missed activity e-mail frequency, Community invites, and Posts sent via email.

   • Disable or enable notifications Block during quiet hours , When active on desktop, or Block when in meetings ​​​​​​​.

     Note: If you've added multiple accounts to Teams, notification settings are separate for each account. You will need to switch accounts to customize them.

Customize your app notifications

1. Select Settings and more near your profile picture, then select Settings .

2. Select Notifications and activity , where you can:

   • General - Choose to mute all notifications (except during calls and meetings).

   • Sound - Choose what sound and when to play your notifications 

   •  Display - Choose which your content preview preference to view your notifications. 

   • Missed activity e-mails - Choose the frequency that missed activity e-mails will be sent. 

   • Community e-mails - Choose if you want posts and invites sent to your e-mail.

   • Chat - Choose your notifications, likes and reactions, and @mentions. 

   • Meetings - Choose i​​​​​​f you want meeting notification and meeting chat notifications.
