When Microsoft determines that you are using an unauthorized Microsoft 365 account, we will deactivate the account for data security reasons and your protection.
You will lose access to any content (e.g., files, data or documents) stored in OneDrive, at the time specified in the notification you received. After the time specified, any content stored in the OneDrive associated with this account will be permanently deleted for data security reasons and your protection.
Prior to this, you have the option to do the following:
-
Save your data: Prior to account deactivation date, move the content you don’t want permanently deleted to:
-
A new or existing authorized OneDrive account
-
Any other physical storage device you choose
-
Another cloud storage provider
Note: Click here to learn how to download your content from your OneDrive account.
-
-
(Optional) Establish an authorized subscription to Microsoft 365. To obtain an authorized subscription and 1-Month free Microsoft 365 Home, go to: https://products.office.com/try.
Note: After subscribing to Microsoft 365, you will still be required to download and move the content from your current OneDrive account into the new OneDrive account that comes with your Microsoft 365 subscription before the deactivation date.
