If the last owner leaves an Outlook.com group, the group will be deleted 30 days later and all of the messages and other content in the group will be gone.
If you're joined to the group with your Microsoft account - Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, or Live.com - you will have the opportunity to export the conversations, files, and other group content before the group expires, if you want to.
Important: If you want to keep the content you export it promptly. Once the group expires that content is no longer recoverable.

If you're joined to the group with a non-Microsoft account you will simply stop receiving messages from the group when it expires. You don't have the option to directly export group content, but you may be able to reach out to one of the members who does have a Microsoft account and ask if they can export the content and share it with you.
