As of April 21, 2020 Office 365 Services is now Microsoft 365 Personal.

Microsoft 365 Personal includes everything you enjoyed with Office 365 Services, including:

  • 1 TB of OneDrive storage

  • Premium version of Outlook.com

  • 60 Skype minutes per month

Microsoft 365 Personal also includes the desktop apps of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, editing and writing suggestions with Microsoft Editor, premium templates, fonts, and photos.

Frequently asked questions

How can I renew Microsoft 365 Personal with the Office 365 Service price going forward?   

When you're ready to renew Microsoft 365 Personal, follow the steps at Renew Microsoft 365. There is no change to the price at this time. Be sure to follow the recommended renewal method at office.com/renew and use the same Microsoft account already associated with your existing subscription.

However, if you purchase a new version of Microsoft 365 Personal through a third-party retailer or through a Microsoft Workplace Discount Program (formerly known as Home Use Program) benefit from your organization, and you associate this new product using the same Microsoft account associated with an existing Office 365 Service subscription, the price will change to the current market price the next time you renew.

What happens if I don’t renew my subscription?   

If you don’t renew Microsoft 365 Personal, the additional services included with your subscription such as 1 TB of OneDrive storage, Outlook Premium, and Skype minutes will no longer be available.

The apps that came pre-installed with your device are still available for you to use. If you need to reinstall them sign in with your Microsoft account to office.com, select Install Office and follow the prompts to re-install the Office apps.

What happens if my subscription has expired?   

If you let your existing subscription expire, you can still buy a new Microsoft 365 Personal subscription, but you will pay the current market price. Upgrade now.

How do I know when my subscription expires?   

You can check your expiration date on your Microsoft account dashboard on the Services & subscriptions page. For help, see Find out when your Office 365 subscription expires.
