If you have issues joining a community in Microsoft Teams (free), there are some things you can try to help with the issue.

For Android users with a work and personal profile on their phone

If you have the Teams app installed on your work profile on your phone, but not on your personal profile, tap the join link while in your work profile. Then select either Get the Teams app or Join community. If this doesn't work, try the following steps.

From your work profile:

  1. Copy the join link you've received and paste it into a browser.

  2. From there, tap Join community. Your Teams app should open and allow you to join the community. This will also add a personal account to the Teams app in your work profile. If this isn't possible due to IT restrictions, follow the steps for From a personal profile below.

From your personal profile:

  1. From the join link, tap Get the Teams app to install the Teams app.

  2. Tap Join community. If you already have the Teams app installed on your work profile, this will install it again on your personal profile.

If you have the Teams app installed on your personal account on your phone, but not on your work profile, we suggest you join the community by doing the following:

  1. Copy the community join link you've received and paste it into a browser from your personal profile.

  2. Tap Join community and your Teams app should open and allow you to join the community.
