Chapters help you consume videos more efficiently by organizing a video's content into shorter, digestible sections. Chapter titles and thumbnails can help you decide whether a chapter's content is of interest to you.

Note: A video will only have a Table of contents and chapters if a video's owner has created them.

You can view a video's chapters on the video's Seek bar or in its Table of contents.

View chapters on the Seek bar

  1. Open a video

  2. At the bottom of the Video player, locate the video player's Seek bar. If an owner's video has created chapters for the video, Chapter markers will appear on the Seek bar.

  3. Hover your cursor over a Chapter marker to view a chapter's title and thumbnail

  4. If you want to watch a chapter, select the Chapter marker. Playback will jump to the start of the selected chapter.

View chapters in the Table of contents

  1. Open a video

  2. In the menu in the upper-right corner of the video, select Table of contents. The video’s chapter list will open in the Table of contents to the right of the video.

  3. Select a chapter to watch it. Playback will jump to the start of the selected chapter.
