Symptoms

You run post-migration cleanup procedures in Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 R2. When you run the CatalogCleanup.vbs tool or the ctlg_DropPersistentTablesInScratchDB stored procedure, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

Msg 245, Level 16, State 1, Line 25

Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value 'Results' to data type int.Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value 'Results' to data type int.


Cause

This problem occurs because of an issue in the ctlg_DropPersistentTablesInScratchDB stored procedure.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, apply this hotfix.

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have Service Pack 1 for Commerce Server 2009 R2 installed.


Installation instructions

To resolve this problem for new catalog databases, run the Cs2009r2sp1-kb2908786-x86.exe file to update the Catalogcreate.sql file for Commerce Server 2009 R2.

Additionally, you must run the Kb2908786.sql file against the existing catalog databases to update their stored procedures.

Restart information

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

Removal information

If you uninstall this hotfix, the Commerce Server Configuration Wizard and the Upgrade Wizard may be started. You can safely click Cancel to cancel rerunning those wizards.

Replacement information

This hotfix does not replace a previously released hotfix.
