Summary
This article describes the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 issues that are fixed in the SharePoint Foundation 2010 hotfix package that is dated December 13, 2011.
INTRODUCTION
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
-
Assume that you use Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) to configure Claims Based authentication in SharePoint Foundation 2010. When you use a mobile device to access a SharePoint Foundation 2010 site, no credential dialog box appears. Instead, you receive the following error message in the mobile browser:
403 Forbidden
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You create a custom list in a SharePoint Foundation 2010 library.
-
You create a Gantt view for the custom list.
-
You add a list item that contains date and time information.
-
-
SharePoint Foundation 2010 does not display the Data Form Web Part. Additionally, the following error message is logged in the Unified Logging Service (ULS) log:
Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.
-
When you use the Markup Styles command to edit a SharePoint Foundation 2010 webpage, unexpected line breaks are displayed between the headline and the text.
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have the German language pack installed on a SharePoint Foundation 2010 server.
-
You create an English site collection and set the alternate display language to German.
-
You create a custom list that contains several columns.
-
You set the site collection's display language to German.
-
You configure some columns to use English text.
-
-
Assume that you create a site template that contains a workflow. You design the workflow to create a document set in a document library. When you use the template to create another site and start the workflow, the workflow creates a folder instead of a document set.
-
When you use a site template to create several site collections and then delete one of the newly created site collections in SharePoint Foundation 2010, you cannot deactivate or delete the site template.
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You install the Dutch language pack on a SharePoint Foundation 2010 server.
-
You create a blog type site collection.
-
You try to save the blog type site collection as a template.
Fout:
Er is een onverwachte fout opgetreden. -
-
When you perform a differential backup for a content database on a SharePoint Foundation 2010 farm and then try to restore the content database on another SharePoint farm, the restore job fails.
-
When the Search Service Application database has a SQL Server alias configured in a SharePoint farm, the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) writer does not return the correct information in SharePoint Foundation 2010.
-
When you try to delete a subsite on the Sites and Workspaces page in SharePoint Foundation 2010, a different subsite is deleted unexpectedly.
-
When you configure the incoming email settings for a list of blog posts and then send an email message that contains an inline image to the list of blog posts in SharePoint Foundation 2010, the email message is added to the list of blog posts without the inline image. However, the inline image should also be added to the list of blog posts.
-
When you have permissions on a single folder in a document library in SharePoint Foundation 2010, and you try to create alert notifications for the folder, you receive the following error message:
Access Denied
-
When you enable the Create a version each time you edit an item in this list setting for a custom list in SharePoint Foundation 2010 and then run code that calls the SPListItem.UpdateOverWriteVersion() method in a console application, a new version of a list item is generated unexpectedly.
-
Assume that you add a discussion to a discussion board that contains an apostrophe (') in its subject line. The discussion receives many replies over several pages. When you try to move to the next page in the discussion, the pager control does not function correctly and an error occurs.
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You create a custom Web Part that uses the SPCalendarView class in SharePoint Foundation 2010.
-
You apply SharePoint Foundation 2010 Service Pack 1 on the SharePoint Foundation 2010 server.
-
You add the Web Part to a SharePoint site, and the Web Part displays the events for the current day in the calendar.
-
You navigate to the next day or previous day in the calendar on the Web Part.
-
-
You set validation on a column on a SharePoint site that uses a blog site template. If validation on the column fails, you do not receive a default error message or custom error message.
-
When you delete a subsite of a site collection and then run the stsadm –o databaserepair command or SharePoint Health Analyzer, a report shows that the subsite was deleted incorrectly as an orphan site.
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You change the Share List Items Across All Meetings settings of a list or a document library on a Meeting Workspace site.
-
You save the Meeting Workspace site as a template.
-
You use the template to create another site.
-
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You install Microsoft Office Online in SharePoint Foundation 2010.
-
You configure alert notifications for a document library.
-
You upload a .pptx file to the document library.
-
You receive an alert notification that contains a link to the .pptx file.
-
You click the link.
-
-
When you add several webpages to a SharePoint Foundation 2010 site collection and then use the Manage Pages command on the Site Actions menu to change the order of the webpages, the order is not changed.
-
2597043 The proc_GetContentTypeIdFromUrl stored procedure takes a long time to retrieve the content type identifier of a document in SharePoint Foundation 2010
