Summary
An update for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 is available to add Inventory and COGS valuation in compliance with TMS-2 standards for Turkey.Inventories have to be valued at less than the cost or net realizable value (NRV). Because of this standard, the variance between NRV and the actual cost inventory value has to be calculated at each month-end, and both the cost of goods sold (COGS) and the inventory valuation adjustments have to be available in the General Ledger.
More Information
After you apply this hotfix, the calculated variance between the net realizable inventory value and the actual cost inventory value is available in the General Ledger.Before you start the calculation procedure, make sure that the General Ledger accounts for the net realized on-hand and the net realized on COGS adjustments are set up. Close the inventory on the beginning and on the end of the reporting period. Start the procedure to calculate the inventory valuation adjustments and the COGS valuation adjustments, and then post the results of the calculations.

Validation of the application hotfix installation
To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method name that contains the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by viewing the KBxxxxxx.txt file against the objects in the AOT. Therefore, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.Note KBxxxxxx.txt is a placeholder for the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
