Applies ToWindows Embedded Compact 2013

Introduction

This article describes an issue in which the DllMain DLL entry is not called when a project is loaded through the LoadLibrary function in Windows Embedded Compact 2013. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

You create a Virtual CEPC x86 project or some other reference device project by using the software development kit (SDK). You put the project on a Windows Embedded Compact 2013 device and then create a DLL project. When the DLL project is loaded through the LoadLibrary function, the DllMain DLL entry is not called as expected. This behavior occurs because the file is loaded as a data file instead of as an executable file.Note This issue does not occur if the DLL project is built as an operating system subproject.
