This article describes two issues that occur when you play a 24-bit .wav file in Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 2013. An update is available to resolve these issues. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.
Symptoms
When you play a 24-bit .wav file from a USB thumb drive by selecting USB audio source on a Windows Embedded Compact 2013-based device, you may encounter the following issues:

The file plays with a delay when you play it again after a source switch.

The file plays with noise after a source switch, a seeking, a fast-forward, or a rewinding operation. The file plays correctly when you replay it from the first frame.

Restart requirement
After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.

On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
