Introduction

This article describes an issue that triggers a memory leak when an object that's created by the IXRApplication class is added into the element tree in an SWE application in Windows Embedded Compact 7. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

You have a Silverlight for Windows Embedded (SWE) application on a device that's running Windows Embedded Compact 7. You use the IXRApplication class to create a custom user control object. If you use the object to call the GoToVisualState method and then call the SetChild function to add it to the element tree, a memory leak occurs.

Resolution
