Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010.

  • You try to create a new AS2 partner agreement in the BizTalk Server Administration Console.

  • In the AS2-From or AS2-To field, you specify a value that contains white space when you configure identifier properties.

In this scenario, you cannot save the agreement, and you receive the following error message:

The given AS2 Identity contains some invalid characters. Only printable ASCII characters are allowed for this field.

Cause

The issue occurs because of an error in the BizTalk Server Administration Console.

Resolution
