Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You create a receive location that uses the PassThruReceive pipeline to receive messages in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010.
-
You apply a Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) tracking profile.
-
A message that begins with an XML declaration arrives at the receive location.
In this scenario, the message may be altered without notice to include a Byte Order Mark (BOM), and then the XML declaration entry of the message may be removed.
Note The alteration that occurs depends on the original encoding of the message.Cause
This issue occurs because BAM tracking involves the XML Disassembler, and this behavior alters the message.
