Symptoms
After you install MS16-077: Description of the security update for WPAD: June 14, 2016, you cannot access websites by using Internet Explorer 11. This may occur if environment Web Proxy Automatic Discovery (WPAD) auto detection fails and if Internet Explorer is set to use a PAC file to determine the proxy server that has both the Automatically detect settings and Use automatic configuration script check boxes selected in the LAN settings of Internet options.
Resolution
To fix this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.Note This update was first included in the MS16-144: Security update for Internet Explorer: December 2016.
