Symptoms
When you create or rebuild columnstore indexes in SQL Server 2016, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
Error: 3628, Severity: 16, State: 1.The Database Engine received a floating point exception from the operating system while processing a user request. Try the transaction again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.
Resolution
The issue is fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:
