Symptoms

Assume that you use In-Memory online transaction processing (OLTP) in SQL Server 2017 on windows. When you try to backup a database that contains memory-optimized OLTP tables and one or more containers in the memory-optimized filegroup stored in Microsoft Azure Blob storage, you may notice that the backup operation may fail with an error message that resembles the following:

Error: 3633, Severity: 16, State: 1.

The operating system returned the error '2(The system cannot find the file specified.)' while attempting 'BackupDataFile::Open' on 'FilePath\FileName.hkckp' at 'fileprod.cpp'(988).

Additionally, an access violation may occur occasionally.
