Symptoms

Assume that you create a clustered columnstore index on a table in an instance of SQL Server. When you try to run a query that uses an INSERT INTO ... SELECT statement to insert data into the clustered columnstore index, an access violation may occur.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following updates for SQL Server:

          Cumulative Update 1 for SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 3

Cumulative Update 14 for SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 2

Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and security fixes that were in the previous build. We recommend that you install the latest build for your version of SQL Server:
