Use a channel to organize student groups or projects. To create a new channel, select More options next to your team name. Select Add a channel Follow the steps to add a name and description. Use @mention in the Conversation tab to notify students you’d like to participate in the channel.

The whole class can post in the General channel’s Conversation tab. @mention students or staff to invite them to post in another channel for small group work. Posts made in channels are not private.

Check your Activity feed to see your @mentions and replies. 

Get your whole class team’s attention by using an @mention of your team’s name or the General channel. You can also expand the compose box to select the Important Mark as important button icon and mark a message as important. To post a longer-term announcement, use a page in the General channel’s Class Notebook. 

Select More options  More options button next to a conversation, then select Mute to mute a comment. Mute individual students by choosing View team from the More options More options button next to your team name, then Members.  Select the checkbox next to your student's name. 

Select More options next to your team name, then View team, then Members. Select the checkmark box(es) for the students you wish to mute. 

To delete a message, go to the message and select Delete from More options More options button. Only those with team owner permissions can delete a student's message.

To delete a conversation thread, select the Conversation tab, then select More options next to each message in the thread and select Delete

Next to the title of your class, select More options . To remove a student, select View Team, then select the X next to the student you want to remove. 

To remove a co-teacher, select More options next to your class name. Select View Team, change the co-teacher's role to Member, then select the X next to the teacher you want to remove.

To delete a class team, select More options next your class name. Select Delete Team and follow the directions on screen.
