Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • In a Lync Server 2010 environment you have two users: user A and user B.

  • User A uses Microsoft Lync 2010 for Windows Phone to open the contact card of user B.

  • The mobile phone number of user B is stored in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).

  • User B does not select Friends and Family or Workgroup as the privacy relationship for user A.

In this scenario, the Mobileitemand the mobile phone number are not displayed in the contact card of user B as expected.

Cause

This issue occurs because the privacy relationship configuration incorrectly affects the display of mobile phone numbers that are stored in AD DS. Therefore, the Mobileitem and the mobile phone number are not displayed.Note The privacy relationship configuration should affect the display of only those mobile phone numbers that are set in the Lync client.
