This problem occurs in the following products:

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Service Pack 1

Resolution

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 service pack or the next Microsoft Dynamics NAV version that contains this hotfix.

Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support calls may be canceled if a Technical Support Professional for Microsoft Dynamics and related products determines that a specific update will resolve your problem. The usual support costs will apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the specific update in question.

Code changes

Note Always test code fixes in a controlled environment before you apply the fixes to your production computers.
To resolve the problem, follow these steps:

  1. Add a golal variable in the Sales Line - OnAfterGetRecord trigger in the Sales Reservation Avail. report (209), and then specify the variable as follows:

    • Name: ReserveFromEntry@1019

    • DataType : Record

    • Subtype: Reservation Entry

  2. Change the code in the Sales Line - OnAfterGetRecord trigger in the Sales Reservation Avail. report (209) as follows:
    Exisitng code

    ...
    IF ReserveSalesLine.ReservQuantity("Sales Line") > 0 THEN BEGIN
    ReservEntry.RESET;
    ReservEngineMgt.InitFilterAndSortingLookupFor(ReservEntry,TRUE);
    ReserveSalesLine.FilterReservFor(ReservEntry,"Sales Line");

    // Delete the following lines.
    ReservEntry.SETFILTER("Source Type",'<>%1',DATABASE::"Item Ledger Entry");
    ReservEntry.SETRANGE(Positive,TRUE);
    IF ReservEntry.FIND('+') THEN BEGIN
    LineReceiptDate := ReservEntry."Expected Receipt Date";
    ReservEntry.SETRANGE("Source Type",DATABASE::"Item Ledger Entry");
    IF ReservEntry.FIND('-') THEN BEGIN
    REPEAT
    LineQuantityOnHand := LineQuantityOnHand + ReservEntry.Quantity;
    UNTIL ReservEntry.NEXT = 0;
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"Partial Shipment";
    END ELSE
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"No Shipment";
    END ELSE BEGIN
    CALCFIELDS("Reserved Qty. (Base)");
    LineQuantityOnHand := "Reserved Qty. (Base)";
    IF ABS("Outstanding Qty. (Base)") = ABS("Reserved Qty. (Base)") THEN
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"Full Shipment"
    ELSE
    IF "Reserved Qty. (Base)" = 0 THEN
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"No Shipment"
    ELSE
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"Partial Shipment";
    END;
    // End of the lines.

    END ELSE
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"Full Shipment";
    END;
    END ELSE BEGIN
    ...

    Replacement code

    ...
    IF ReserveSalesLine.ReservQuantity("Sales Line") > 0 THEN BEGIN
    ReservEntry.RESET;
    ReservEngineMgt.InitFilterAndSortingLookupFor(ReservEntry,TRUE);
    ReserveSalesLine.FilterReservFor(ReservEntry,"Sales Line");

    // Add the following lines.
    IF ReservEntry.FINDSET THEN
    REPEAT
    ReserveFromEntry.RESET;
    ReserveFromEntry.GET(ReservEntry."Entry No.", NOT ReservEntry.Positive);
    IF ReserveFromEntry."Source Type" = DATABASE::"Item Ledger Entry" THEN
    LineQuantityOnHand := LineQuantityOnHand + ReserveFromEntry.Quantity;
    UNTIL ReservEntry.NEXT = 0;
    CALCFIELDS("Reserved Qty. (Base)");
    IF ("Outstanding Qty. (Base)" = LineQuantityOnHand) AND ("Outstanding Qty. (Base)" <> 0) THEN
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"Full Shipment"
    ELSE
    IF LineQuantityOnHand = 0 THEN
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"No Shipment"
    ELSE
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"Partial Shipment"
    // End of the lines.

    END ELSE
    LineStatus := LineStatus::"Full Shipment";
    END;
    END ELSE BEGIN
    ...
  3. Change the code in the Purchase Line - OnAfterGetRecord trigger in the Purchase Reservation Avail. report (409) as follows:
    Existing code

    ...

    IF ModifyQtyToShip AND ("Document Type" = "Document Type"::Order) AND
    ("Qty. to Receive (Base)" <> LineQuantityOnHand)
    THEN BEGIN

    // Delete the following line.
    VALIDATE("Qty. to Receive (Base)",LineQuantityOnHand);

    "Purchase Line".MODIFY;
    END;
    IF ClearDocumentStatus THEN BEGIN
    ...

    Replacement code

    ...
    IF ModifyQtyToShip AND ("Document Type" = "Document Type"::Order) AND
    ("Qty. to Receive (Base)" <> LineQuantityOnHand)
    THEN BEGIN

    // Add the following lines.
    IF "Qty. per Unit of Measure" = 0 THEN
    "Qty. per Unit of Measure" := 1;
    VALIDATE("Qty. to Receive",
    ROUND(LineQuantityOnHand / "Qty. per Unit of Measure",0.00001));
    // End of the lines.

    "Purchase Line".MODIFY;
    END;
    IF ClearDocumentStatus THEN BEGIN
    ...
