With the new Microsoft Edge , we’re excited to bring you a new browser that delivers world-class performance with more privacy, more productivity, and more value while you browse. In this first build, you might notice some changes as well as some features that were part of Microsoft Edge Legacy but aren't currently available in the new browser.
Here are some features that we’re working on and that you can expect to see in the next few months:

Hover over tabs to see website previews

Edit the toolbar to decide what you want to see there like favorites, share, and the home button

Microsoft Pay integration with autofill

Find past browser sessions in Windows timeline

Downloading progressive web apps from the Microsoft Edge Addons Store

Support for WebVR sites and apps

PDF features like table of contents, page layouts, read aloud, text notes, and highlighter pen

Search contextually – highlight an item to search in a pane on a webpage

More learning tools features like text options, page themes, grammar tools, read aloud, and line focus

Windows Hello – it allows you to use face, fingerprint, or PIN for authentication instead of a password

Ability to write directly on web pages (like Web notes)
Here are the features that are not on our roadmap today though we will continue to evaluate based on feedback. For now, we’ve made sure to save any existing data associated with these:

Setting aside a group of tabs and then restore them

Creating a reading list where you save articles for reading later

The hub which used to house favorites, reading list, downloads, and history

A pane showing you a visual preview of all open tabs

Opening ePUBS in the browser

Using Cortana in the browser to give you directions, coupons, song lyrics, etc.
