If classic Outlook for Windows was working, but now it isn't, there are a few things to check:
-
Make sure you're connected to the Internet. Open a new browser window and type a common URL, such as www.microsoft.com and press Enter to see whether you can connect to that page.
-
If you have a lot of windows open, make sure there isn't a message from Outlook hidden behind them.
-
Check the Outlook status bar and see if you're set to Work Offline. For more info, see Work offline or online.
-
Is there a third-party browser add-in or utility that's misbehaving and blocking the Internet, such as a video file saver, VPN, or search add-in? Try turning it off.
-
If you're using Office Insider, check for issues on the Insider community forum.
