Relationships
Select this check box to display relationship shapes in the model.
Crow's feet
Select this check box to replace the one-to-many graphical symbol with a Crow's Foot notation in the model, making the relationship connector use Information Engineering notation.
Cardinality
This option is available only if the Crow's Feet check box is cleared. Select this check box to display cardinality notation on relationship shapes.
Tip: To use UML cardinality notation, do the following:

On the General tab, click Relational.

Click the Relationship tab, clear the Crow's Feet check box, select the Cardinality check box, and then click OK.
Referential integrity
Select this check box to display symbols on relationship shapes to indicate referential integrity constraints.
Microsoft Office Visio displays the notation in this form: u:C, where "u" is the type of change (update or delete) and "C" is the type of action (No Action, Cascade, Set default, or Set NULL).

Show verb phrase
Click to display role text on relationship shapes. You can specify the forward predicate role text (verb phrase) and inverse predicate role text (inverse phrase) in the Database Properties window for the Relationship shape.
Forward text
Select this check box to display the forward predicate role text on relationship shapes.
Inverse text
Select this check box to display the inverse predicate role text on relationship shapes.
Show physical name
Click to display the name of relationships on the shapes' connecting line based on the name used by the target database.
By default, the name generated using the Database Modeling Preferences dialog box is displayed. For example, Parent + Child + Suffix.
To change the default name, on the Database menu, click Options, click Modeling, click the Logical Misc tab, and then select an option in the FK Name Generation Option list.
Don't display name
Click to display no text on the relationship shapes' connecting lines.
Defaults
Click to make the current settings the default settings for the document (Set As), or to reset the default settings to those last set for the document (Restore) or to the Visio defaults (Restore Original).
