Delete a page in OneNote for the web

You can remove pages from your notebooks using OneNote for the web with your preferred browser on a PC, Mac, or tablet.

Your pages will go to the Deleted Notes section if you need to restore them later.

  • Unlike the full-featured OneNote apps, where you can use Ctrl+Z (Windows) or ⌘+Z (Mac) to undo your last actions to restore page deletions, deleting pages in OneNote for the web is immediate and cannot be undone.

  • Note:  To restore or permanently delete a page in OneNote for the web, go to the View tab, then select Deleted Notes.  Right click the page name to restore or permanently delete the note.  Permanently deleting a note cannot be undone.

  1. In OneNote for the web from your preferred browser, go to the section containing the page or subpage that you want to delete.

  2. Do one the following:

    • From a PC or Mac, right-click (PC) or Control-click (Mac) the page name, and then click Delete Page.

    • From a touch-enabled device (such as an iPad or other tablet), press and hold the page name until you see a checkmark next to the page. On the bottom, tap the trash icon.
