To download or export a Notebook, Section, or Page, go to the File menu and select Export.

Select Notebook, Section, or Page, under Export Current.

Under Select Format, choose OneNote Package (*.onepkg) to open later in OneNote, or PDF (*.pdf) to view in a browser or Adobe Acrobat, and then select Export.

Choose a location to save the notebook and select Open.Â

Tip: You can use OneNote even when you're not connected to the internet. The next time you're online, your notebooks will sync automatically. For more info, see Sync a notebook.
Downloading (also called exporting) a notebook isn't currently possible in OneNote for the web. You can, however, share a notebook.
You can download or export a notebook in the OneNote desktop app.

To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing and choose Open in Desktop App.
Don't have the app? Get it for free in the Microsoft Store.
Downloading a notebook isn't possible yet in OneNote for Mac. You can, however, share a notebook or save a notebook as a PDF.

Select
 Share in the upper-right corner and choose who to share it with. -
On the File menu, select Save as PDF and follow prompts.Â
