If you need to download a notebook, on the File menu, select Export.

Under Export Current, select Notebook.

Under Select Format, choose OneNote Package (*.onepkg) to open later in OneNote, or PDF (*.pdf) to view in a browser or Adobe Acrobat, and then select Export.

Choose a location to save the notebook, then select Open.

To download and install the OneNote app, which has more features than the web version, choose an option:

On a Mac or smart phone: See the Download OneNote page and select the Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Android link.

Downloading a notebook isn't possible yet in OneNote for Mac. You can, however, share a notebook.
