How to post to a community and channel in Microsoft Teams Free
In Microsoft Teams Free, you have the option to post to a community and channel. You can start a new post, share something from your device, use an app, and reply to a post. Take a look and see what else you can do when you post in a community or channel in Microsoft Teams Free.
Post to a community
A community is where you can engage in conversation and share information securely.
- 
                            
In Teams, go to the community you would like to post to.
 - 
                            
Tap the new post button
 . - 
                            
In the New post window, you can:
- 
                                
Add a title to your post.
 - 
                                
In the Start a new conversation area, you can compose your message and@ mention someone in the community.
 - 
                                
When you create a post or announcement or send a reply, use these options to format your message:
Tap the Plus button
 to include the following:- 
                                            
Add Media
 from your camera or gallery to your post or announcement. - 
                                            
Attach files
 to share. - 
                                            
Mark your message as high Priority
 - 
                                            
Use an app to send to your community
 
- 
                                            
Add Emojis, GIFS, and stickers
 to share reactions. - 
                                            
Add Record Audio to share an audio file. You can do this by tapping and holding to record. When you're finished recording, you can send or delete.
 - 
                                            
Use the format options to customize your message with Bold, Italic, Underline, and much more.
 
 - 
                                            
 - 
                                
At the top, you can tap Send options
 to Also send via email. This will send your new post to all members in an email as well. 
 - 
                                
 - 
                            
When you're ready, tap Send
 to post to the community.

Go to the post in the community that you would like to reply to and tap Reply.

You can type your message in the Reply field. You can also:
- 
                                
Tap the Emojis, GIFS, and stickers
 to include Emojis or GIFS. - 
                                
Tap Camera
 to take a photo or select one from your camera roll. 
 -

Tap the Plus button
 to include Media , Attach files , mark your message as high Priority, Format your message, or use an app to send to your community. - 
                            
When you're ready, tap Send
 to reply to the post. 
When you create a post or announcement or send a reply, use the options to format your message.

When in a Microsoft Teams Free community you may receive a message stating "This message has been deleted." in your conversation.
                           
This could be due to one of the following:

The author of the message has deleted it.

The owner of the community has chosen to delete it.
 - 
                            
The message was reported.

Post to a channel
Channels make it easier to focus on specific objectives and projects. You can use channels to post topics like Announcements and Q&As.

In Teams, go to the community channel you would like to post to.

Scroll to Teams Free, then under Communities, select the community you would like to share to. You will also have the option to include a message

When you're ready, tap Send

Go to the post in the channel that you would like to reply to and tap Reply.

You can type your message in the Reply field and tap the Emojis, GIFS, and stickers

When you're ready, select Post to share your announcement to the community.
There are different ways to use Designer in Microsoft Teams Free. You can describe the image you want to generate, and Designer generates an image based on your prompt. If you want to add an image from your device or generate or explore ideas from existing images, you can do that too.
