Organize and plan your work schedule effectively by managing your Teams calendar. Stay on track by RSVPing to meetings and events and choosing a calendar view that suits you.

RSVP to a meeting

Let meeting organizers know whether or not you'll be attending by RSVPing to their meetings ahead of time. 

To RSVP to a meeting:

  1. Select Calendar  Teams Calendar tab icon in Teams.

  2. Select the meeting you want to RSVP to.

  3. Select RSVP.

  4. Select Accept or Decline, Follow, or Tentative​​​​​​​.

    • If the meeting is part of a series, hover over your RSVP response and select This event to only RSVP to that occurrence or All events in the series to RSVP to all meetings in that series.

Add a note to your RSVP

When you RSVP, the organizer will be notified of your response via email.

To add a note to your RSVP response:

  1. Select Calendar  Teams Calendar tab icon in Teams.

  2. Select the meeting you want to RSVP to.

  3. Select View event  Icon to expand meeting details.

  4. Select RSVP with note Note icon.

  5. Add a note. 

    1. If you haven't chosen an RSVP response, choose one from the dropdown menu.

  6. Select Confirm.

Change the calendar view

By default, your Teams calendar will display your work week.

  • Select Work week at the top of your calendar to see the dropdown menu of different views.Screenshot of dropdown menu showing different calendar views in Teams.

  • Day gives you an agenda view focused on one day at a time.

    • Select the arrow next to Day to customize how many days you see at a time.

  • Work week shows you Monday through Friday.

  • Week shows you the entire week.

  • Month shows you the entire month.

View different dates

In the top-left corner you'll find the month and year.

  • To change your calendar view to any date—past or future—select the month.

  • To scroll by day or week (depending on your calendar view), select the right and left arrows next to the month.

  • Select Today  Today icon in calendar​​​​​​​ to return to the current date.

Note: The calendar shows you everything that was scheduled in Teams, Exchange, and Outlook.
