Entering a finish date that is close to the start of another task
You have changed the finish date for this task so that it finishes just as another task is starting. This indicates that there may be a dependency between the tasks. If another task is dependent on this task's completion, you can link them. Linking the tasks allows the finish of this task to drive the start of the dependent task. By linking tasks, you can see later how changes in the start, finish, and duration of a task affect other dependent tasks.
Note: Go to Link tasks in a project for additional information.
Using the Planning Wizard, you can:
Link the tasks creating a finish-to-start dependency.
Microsoft Project will link the tasks so that the later task will not begin until the earlier task finishes.
Move the task without adding a link.
Project will change the finish date for the task, but will not link it to any other tasks.
If you don't want the Planning Wizard to display this information again, select the Don't tell me about this again check box.
