Symptoms
On a Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 device, you receive either or both of the following error messages:
Stop 0x0000000010D
WDF Violation in UcmUcSICx.sys
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Status: 0xc0000001
Cause
This problem can occur if you do either of the following set of actions:

Extract the contents of the Surface Laptop 3 RS5 MSI package (SurfaceLaptop3_Win10_17763_19.111.10996.0.msi), and add the drivers and firmware to your image offline.

Extract the contents of the Surface Laptop 3 RS5 MSI package (SurfaceLaptop3_Win10_17763_19.111.10996.0.msi), and install the drivers manually.
Resolution
For both offline and online scenarios, make sure that your image contains the following update:
August 17, 2019—KB4512534 (OS Build 17763.720)
You can add the update by using the appropriate DISM command.
Important For online scenarios, make sure that you install the KB4512534 update before you install the drivers from the MSI package.
