This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX for the Russia (ru) region.
Introduction
This article describes a country-specific update for Russia is available for generation of price labels for Retail in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3.
More information
The feature extends the standard retail product and shelf labels functionality to support regular procedures for handling labels of retailers in Russia. Retailers require these procedures to be compliant with Russian label regulations. Retailers are legally obliged to provide price labels in the common form with printed item name, unit price and date of printing.
Regular procedures for handling labels include label change during repricing, labeling of received products and labels verification. Label change process includes printing labels with new prices, removing old labels and installing new ones, confirming to HQ that labels are changed. A store does not apply new prices until replacing labels is confirmed. Label verification makes sure that all items in the store has labels and that the correct information is printed on labels. During label verification retailer needs to reprint incorrect and damaged labels. As part of the repricing procedure, the feature allows generating price label journals in headquarters in AX for several stores, printing labels from the journal in a store back-office in AX, confirming in a store back-office in AX that printed labels are installed and restricting sale on EPOS until label change is confirmed. The feature allows generating price labels in AX using new periodic operation Generate available on the form Retail>Periodic>Bar codes and labels>Price label journals. The operation can be executed in a batch or in the interactive mode. The operation parameters allows generating price labels for items having new prices or for all items, for the selected category or for the whole assortment, for a specific store or for several stores under the node of the organization hierarchy. The periodic operation allows identifying items with new retail price set in Released product details or Trade agreement or Price adjustment. It is possible to search for price changes within the specific date interval or since the price date of the latest price label journal. The operation can also generate labels for items having price effective period started or price expired. This allows automatically reprinting price labels with the regular prices after expiration of the special prices which was set for a period of a promotion campaign, for example. The feature requires system setup before using. Labels printing should be enabled for stores using store parameter Prints shelf labels or Prints product labels. Default label reports should be specified for products. Number sequence should be configured for the price label journals. The feature also allows creating price label journals in AX manually from a posted price agreement journal. Each price label journal includes default label reports for items from price agreement journal lines with the retail price group assigned to the store. Items without default label report could also be included using new parameter "Action for items without label setup". It is possible to filter out items that is out of stock in the store and to update the product label quantity from the quantity on hand. The feature allows confirming price label journal in AX and restricting sale of items having new price on EPOS until the confirmation status is received from AX via a sync service job. The sale will be also restricted in case when existing Trade agreement expires and POS starts using different price. The sale is restricted only for prices from price groups with marked parameter "Check price labels". Outdated information about price label confirmations is deleted from EPOS database during the Shift closing operation. Please note that restricting sale of items having new prices is available only for Enterprise POS. As part of labeling of received products, the feature allows generating and confirming price label journals from Purchase Order, Transfer Order and Inventory Journals. It is possible to update the product label quantity from the ordered quantity. It is possible to generate labels only for items received in the store for the first time. The feature allows validating that labels for a new product are printed after actual arrival to the store. In order to support this scenario user should always generate and confirm labels from price agreements only for items on hand and should enable "Check price labels" on the price group assigned to the store. In this case it would not be possible to sell the new product on EPOS until the label is generated during the receiving. During label verification feature allows reprinting of incorrect and damaged labels on Enterprise POS (EPOS). Reprinting can be done using new EPOS commands Print shelf label or Print item label. Each command allows printing default labels for specified items with the price effective on specified date. Label reports are generated on the Dynamics AX Application Object Server (AOS). The AOS saves generated labels to a file and transfers the file to a computer running EPOS using the CDX Real-time service. After that, EPOS sends labels to the printer. Printing are always run in asynchronous mode. This allows entering sales or executing other EPOS commands during the lengthy label printing operations instead of waiting while the printing completes. Please note that new label printing commands are available only for Enterprise POS. The feature allows printing attributes and dimensions on labels. Out-of-box label reports are extended to include an option to print product attributes and dimensions in item and shelf labels.Hotfix information
