Summary
This article describes the Microsoft Word 2010 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated February 28, 2012. Â
INTRODUCTION
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
-
Assume that you use the Remote Desktop Connection to open a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) connection that uses 8-bit color depth, and then you read an email message in the Outlook 2010 reading pane. In this situation, the colors in the email message body are inverted, and the content in the email message body is unreadable.
-
Word 2010 switches to read-only mode when you save a document.
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have a Word document that contains three paragraphs, and there is spacing between each paragraph.
-
You delete the first paragraph together with the spacing at the bottom of the paragraph.
-
You delete the bottom part of the second paragraph.
In this scenario, the first line of text in the third paragraph is duplicated.
-
-
The data-bound content control displays incorrect results in a document when the Track Changes feature is turned on in Word 2010.
-
After you expand a subdocument that contains an image in a master document, you cannot save the master document.
-
When you set a numbering format for a list item in a numbering list, the numbering formats and the content for list items that come before the list item that you formatted are not displayed.
Note This issue occurs when you use the style separator in the document. -
Assume that you delete a line of text from a text box in a document that contains several text boxes in Word 2010. You save and close the document, and then you reopen the document. In this situation, the text boxes in the document do not display any text.
-
When you print a Word 2010 document that contains text boxes by using a high dots per inch (dpi) setting on a printer, the text boxes are not printed correctly.
-
Consider the following scenario:
-
You have a Word 2010 document that contains a shape at the bottom of a page.
-
You scale the document to print on a paper size that is larger than the document itself.
-
You print the document.
In this scenario, the shape is not displayed in the printout.
-
-
Certain controls in an HTML file are not displayed correctly in Word 2010.Â
